Louis R. Dimino


Louis R., of Fair Lawn, NJ passed away peacefully in his sleep at home surrounded by family on Friday, April 21, 2017.  Born and raised in Brooklyn, he was a long time resident of Elmwood Park prior to settling in Fair Lawn 4 years ago. A proud veteran he served his country in the United States Army from 1962-67. Louis received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from William Paterson University class of 1980.  He was active in his community by serving on the Elmwood Park Board of Recreation and Elmwood Park Football Parents Association, coaching baseball and being a Cub Scout leader.   He was an avid sports fan who also enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family and friends.

Beloved husband of Arleen (Hogman) Dimino.  Loving and devoted father of James Dimino and wife Kimberly, Michael Dimino and wife Barbara and Stephen Dimino and wife Marguerite.  Cherished grandfather of Elizabeth, Louis, Matthew, Cecilia, John, Anthony and Ethan. Loving brother of Maryann Calabrese and Ignatius “Joseph” Dimino and his wife Rose.  Caring uncle of Maria Nunez.

A Funeral Mass is planned for Thursday, April 27, 2017 10:30AM at St. Anne RC Church, 15-05 St Anne St, Fair Lawn, NJ. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-9PM  at the Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home Inc., 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410 (201) 797-3500.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of  Louis may be made to the Valley Hospital Foundation, 223 North Van Dien Aveune, Ridgewood, NJ 07450-9982 (In memo please write restricted to Valley Hospice
