Veronica Rose Fleissner

9/21/2017

Veronica Rose Fleissner, daughter of John and Erma Egan, 78, passed away at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ on September 21, 2017 surrounded by her family.  Originally from North Bergen, NJ, with her seven siblings (Erma, John, Maureen, Eleanor, Bryan, Cathy and Tom), Ronnie and her family moved to Glen Rock, NJ and established deep roots in the area, becoming important members of the St. Catharine church community. It was in the St. Catharine church choir that she met her husband of 49 years, Bob Fleissner. Originally a Kindergarten teacher at Grant School in Ridgefield Park, Ronnie became “Aunt Ronnie” to several generations of area children that she lovingly cared for in her home. Since her retirement in 2001, she has been a devoted grandmother to her twelve grandchildren - Jack, Kate, Emma, Kenny, Danny, Lauren, Charlotte, Lily, Abby, Nora, Sam & Thomas - and a continued source of love and support to her children, Rob & Kristen Fleissner, Laura & Tom Kramer, Teresa & Chuck Manning and Joe & Amanda Fleissner.

The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday, September 24, 2017, 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410, (201) 797-3500.  A Funeral Mass is planned for Monday 10 AM at St. Catharine R.C. Church, 905 South Maple Avenue, Glen Rock, NJ.  Interment will follow at Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Veronica to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept.142, Memphis, TN 38148 would be appreciated.
