Vivian C. Felice


Vivian C. Felice of Mahwah formerly of Fair Lawn.

The Felice family celebrates the life of Vivian C. Felice (nee Micciche) who passed on October 20, 2017 after a brief illness.

Born in Paterson, NJ in 1929, she lived, worked and raised a family for most of her adult life in Fair Lawn. A graduate of Mary Help of Christians Academy and Paterson State Teachers College (now known as William Paterson University), she was a Fair Lawn elementary teacher for over 30 years. 

An active member of the community, she was a parishioner of St. Anne's Church and served as a board member of the Fair Lawn Mental Health Center. She was also active in the auxiliaries of the Cosmos Club and VFW Post #281.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, including traveling, playing cards and participating in mystery club social events. She also had a passion for Italian operas, often going backstage to meet some of the top performers of the time.

Married for 64 years to Nicholas R. Felice, she is also survived by three sons, their wives and seven grandchildren: Paul, his wife Shirley and Thomas and Steven, John, his wife Janet and Nicholas, Cassandra and Austin, and Rob, his wife Patricia and Andrea and Anna, Ramsey.

She is also survived by a sister, Joan Caola, formerly of Cliffside Park and now residing in Point Pleasant, NJ. She is predeceased by her parents, John and Concetta Micciche of Paterson.

The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday, October 22, 2017, 4-8 pm at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ.  A Funeral Mass is planned for Monday, October 23, 2017, 9:30 am at St. Anne R.C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne Street, Fair Lawn, NJ.  Interment will follow at Fair Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Fair Lawn.

Vivian was always a lovely, gracious and classy lady in all the years I knew her. I am very sorry to hear of her passing. My sincere condolences to the entire Felice family.
