Rosario A. Cali


Rosario “Ron” A. Cali, 85, of Saddle Brook, NJ passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 29, 2017.  Born and raised in New York City, he resided in Saddle Brook for 62 years.  He proudly served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  A faithful parishioner of St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Saddle Brook, he served as an usher for many years.  Ron was a member and past president of UNICO of Saddle Brook.  An avid bowler, he was a member of the Wonder Bread Bowling Team and earned many trophies. 

Prior to retiring in 1992, he was a sales representative with Wonder Bread in Paterson for 30 years.  After retirement, he was employed with the Medicine Shop in Saddle Brook for ten years. 

Beloved husband of Theresa (Rubino) Cali.  Loving and devoted father of Laura Barbieri and husband Anthony, Michael Cali and wife Jill and Paul Cali and wife Teresa.  Cherished grandfather of Alyssa, Lisa Marie, Nicole, Miranda, Ryan and Justin.  Dear brother of Joseph Cali.

The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday, November 1, 2017, 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ.  A Funeral Mass is planned for Thursday, November 2, 2017, 10:30 am at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 488 Saddle River Road, Saddle Brook, NJ.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Hackensack.
