John N. Biercuk

John N. Biercuk, 75, of Fair Lawn, NJ passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018.  Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he resided in Fair Lawn since 1971.  He attended Van Riper-Ellis-Broadway Baptist Church in Fair Lawn.  An active man who enjoyed fly fishing, competitive rifle shooting, hunting, fishing, woodworking and showing dogs, John was a member of the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America, the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of Watchung, the NJ Rifle Pistol Club and a former member of the Pequannock Hunt & Fish Club.

A 1965 graduate of Clarkson College in NY with a Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, he was a principal engineer with Northrup Grumman in Bethpage, LI, NY for 40 years before retiring 12 years ago.  He was involved with many projects including lunar landings and the F-14 Tomcat as well as other military craft.

Beloved husband of Margaret Jo Ann (Korte) Biercuk.  Dear brother-in-law of Candy Odenwald and husband Gary.  Loving uncle of Timothy H. Odenwald and Kimberly A. (Odenwald) McGuire

The family will receive relatives and friends for memorial visitation on Thursday, January 25, 2018, 4-7 pm with service following at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of John to the American Heart Association, Founders Affiliate, P.O. Box 417005, Boston, MA  02241-7005, American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK  73123-1718 or a charity of choice would be appreciated.
