Walter "Wally" H. Tschorn, Jr.


Walter “Wally” H. Tschorn, Jr., 84, of Fair Lawn, NJ has made heaven an even prettier place, as he peacefully passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018.  Born and raised in Atchison, Kansas, he resided in Franklin Lakes before moving to Fair Lawn 20 years ago.  He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Benedictine College in Atchison, KS.  A selfless man who always put the needs of others first, Wally listened, inspired, sacrificed and cared for his family and friends in the most genuine, humble manner.  His family thanks God for the true gift he was and will always be in their lives. 

Prior to retiring, he was the president of sales with A.J. O’Connor in Parsippany for 15 years and previously was employed with Roquette Foods and CPC International both in Englewood Cliffs.

Beloved husband of Dorothy “Dale” (Kuebler) Tschorn.  Loving and devoted father of Elizabeth Williams and husband Howard of Alpharetta, GA., Amy Madere and husband, Jeffrey of Fayetteville, GA., and Carl J. Daniels, his son by choice, of  New York, NY.  Cherished grandfather of Madeline, Nicholas, Will, Ellie and Nate.  Dear uncle of Melvin Lott and wife Barbara of Weston, MO., Suzy Purdy and husband Stan of Atchison, KS.,  and John Taber and wife Carrie, of Lawrence, KS.  He is also survived by many loving great nieces and great nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday, June 20, 2018, 6-9 pm at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ.  Cremation will be private.

Elizabeth I am so sorry for your loss. I remember our conversations about family and I know this a devastating loss for the family.
