Frank W. Chu

Frank W. Chu, 75, of Glen Rock, NJ came to a restful peace, surrounded by family, after passing away on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. Born in Philadelphia, PA and raised in New York, NY, he settled in Glen Rock with his family 46 years ago. He graduated from Stuyvesant High School in 1960, earned a Bachelor’s Degree from The City College of New York in 1965, and received a Master's in Engineering from New York University and an MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He was a rigorous and methodical engineer where his work for Bendix, McDonnell Douglas, and Consumer Reports, amongst other firms, functioned to optimize fighter jets, nuclear submarines, and kitchen appliances alike. Later, he applied his patience and disciplined thinking to teaching high school math at Orange and Clifton High Schools. Wherever he lent his talents, Frank was appreciated for his kindness, intelligence, steady presence, and whimsical sense of humor. He put others’ needs before his own and always placed family first. His family cherishes his quiet gifts and will always hold his spirit close to their hearts.

Beloved husband of May Chu of Glen Rock, NJ.  Loving and devoted father of Kevin Chu and wife, Julianne Peck, of Paoli, PA and Brian Chu and wife, Laura Skriner, of Morristown, NJ.
