Harry G. Barone

Harry G. Barone, age 61, of Sparta, NJ passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018.  Born in Ridgewood and raised in Fair Lawn, he resided in Hawthorne for many years before recently moving to Sparta.

A graduate of the School of Visual Arts and a photographer by trade, he helped create many record album covers in the late 70s and 80s as well as being responsible for many photos and magazine spreads for the cigar industry.  Harry was an accomplished singer and musician and owner of Enrico’s Cigar Hideaway in Wyckoff for many years.  Perhaps he would most want to be remembered for his intense love of and devotion to his family and loved ones – his whole world revolved around them.

Beloved companion of Rachel Riccardi.  Loving brother of Theresa Harvey and husband Don, Gregory Barone and the late Frank Barone and surviving wife Anne.  Adored uncle of Jenny, Lori, Corrine, Donnie, Scott, Matt and Joseph.  Cherished grand uncle of 15.  Dear son of the late Enrico and Rose Barone.

At his request there will be no wake or repass.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, November 3, 2018, 9:30 am at St. Anthony R.C. Church, 276 Diamond Bridge Avenue, Hawthorne.  Interment will follow at Christ the King Cemetery in Franklin Lakes.  The family will happily celebrate his life at a later date.

Donations in memory of Harry to the Center for Food Action, 90 Ridge Road, Mahwah, NJ 07430 would be appreciated since Harry was an advocate for feeding the poor.

God bless you Harry. We will miss you. I always have fond memories of us at the legendary Barone family picnics or dinners at Grandma Millies on Sunday. All the cousins looked to you with great admiration. You can now be with God, your mom and dad in heaven for eternity. Hopefully someday we will all see each other and be together at the ultimate family picnic in heaven. Rest in peace. Billy DeRoker
