Our deepest condolences to the entire Frey family, extended family, & all Luke’s friends. I was fortunate to share the same halls of Fair Lawn High between fall ‘03 till he graduated in ‘05, TJ Middle school for a year in 2000-2001, Milnes elementary for a couple years and also attended Camp Iroquois for a few of the same summers in the mid to late 90s. The only way to describe a guy like Luke, from the perspective of someone who grew up a few years back and having to walk those same footsteps before I knew it, was that he made growing up in Fair Lawn in the 90s and 2000s was something to at the very least be proud of. Fair Lawn always surrounded him with attention because he was the guy we all knew carried the spirit for our towns next generations. He impacted people like me who barely crossed paths with him, but knowing guys like Luke could set the tone for when I’d get to that next grade or next school made growing up in Fair Lawn so much more worth it. Rest easy, brother. You’ll always be remembered. - The Schaffel Family (Aaron, Andrea, Arielle, & Daniel)
