Justine Barch Marco

Justine Barch Marco of Ridgewood, NJ, and formerly of Bridgehampton, NY, passed away at the age of 73 on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Rosary Hill Home in Hawthorne, NY.  Born Justine Mary Barch, in Passaic, NJ in 1945, she was the daughter of Anne (Harvey) of Brooklyn, NY and Gus Barch of Garfield, NJ.  Her one brother, John, of Nyack, NY, survives her.  Raised in Paramus, NJ, Justine graduated from Paramus High School and received an Associate’s Degree from the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhattan.  Following her studies, she began her career at Lord & Taylor, rising to the level of Associate Buyer, and in succeeding years served as a Vice President at Cacharel, and as the Directrice of the Yves Saint Laurent Boutique in Bal Harbor, FL.  Following her years in fashion, Justine established an antique business, Legendary Collections which for many years was situated in the historic Bulls Head Inn in Bridgehampton, NY.

Justine was cherished for her extremely generous nature and for the total devotion and tireless energy that she brought to everyone and everything she loved: her family, her friends and neighbors, her faith, and her work.  She was a person of great substance and strength, and also great style.  In addition to her brother John and his wife Jane, Justine is survived by her loving niece and nephews: her Godchild, Kate Heaton and her husband Chris; Michael Barch and his wife Jill; James Barch and Nicholas Barch, and also six grand nieces and nephews --- Zachary, Jeremiah, and Genevieve Heaton; and Kiley, Emma, and Matthew Barch.

Justine’s family will be receiving guests on Sunday, March 31st from 2 – 6 pm at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 1st, 10 am at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 1 Passaic Street, Ridgewood, NJ.  Interment will follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery in Lodi, NJ.
