Thomas Pagano



Thomas P. Pagano, 83, of Lodi, NJ, formerly of Fair Lawn, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 2, 2019. Born, raised and married in Lodi, he also lived in Fair Lawn for 25 years before moving back to Lodi. He was a faithful and active parishioner of St. Anne RC Church in Fair Lawn. Tom served as Eucharistic Minister, taught CCD, was an Illustrator for Spire, the parish publication, and served as an original member of The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA Team) for many years.  He also was a member of the St. Ann’ Knights of Columbus Council # 2853 in Fair Lawn.

Mr. Pagano also served in the Army reserves.   

Tom was an office services manager for Minolta Corp. in Ramsey for 20 years, retiring in 1996. After retiring from Minolta, he was a school bus driver in the Paterson/Fair Lawn area for 8 years and a special education para-professional for a school in Rutherford, NJ.

Beloved husband of Catherine (Sniffen) Pagano. Loving and devoted father of Tom Pagano and wife Joy, Joe Pagano and wife Tracey, Vincent Luong, Giap Nguyen and wife Betty, Mary Auriti and husband Tom, and Elisa Bord and husband Isaac.  Cherished grandfather of Ashley, Julia, Emily, Lidiya, Bethany, Grace, Brandon, Olivia, Alexander, Angelina, Nathan-Thomas, Michael and Sophia.  Caring great grandfather of Lyla and Harper. Dear brother of Vincent Pagano and his wife Nancy and the late Mario Pagano and his wife, the late Agnes Pagano.  Dear brother-in-law of Marie Sniffen and the late Florence Sniffen.  Cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Some of Tom’s passions included spending time with his grandchildren and family, playing guitar, sketching, dog sitting, and cooking his famous meatballs.  He wanted to (and will be) remembered as a “good guy.”

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, June 6, 2019, 2 – 4 & 7 – 9 PM at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home Inc., 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ 201-797-3500.  A Funeral Mass is planned for Friday, June 7, 2019, 11:00 AM at St. Anne RC Church, 15-05 St. Anne Street, Fair Lawn, NJ.  Cremation will be private.   

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Thomas may be made to St. Anne RC Church in Fair Lawn, NJ.
