Marie Tramontana


Marie Tramontana, age 54 of Fair Lawn, NJ passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at home surrounded by her loving family.  Born in the Calabria region of Italy, she was raised in Campo Calabro Italy.  She immigrated to the U.S. in 1973 residing in Paterson before settling in Fair Lawn 32 years ago.  Marie earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from William Paterson University in Wayne.  She was a parishioner of St. Catharine Church in Glen Rock.  Actively involved in her children’s lives, Marie served as a committee chair with Boy Scouts Troop 53 of Fair Lawn for many years.

She was a Human Resource Officer with Atlantic Stewardship Bank in Midland Park for 23 years.

Beloved wife of James Wensell.  Loving and devoted mother of Kyle and Mitchell Wensell. Cherished daughter of Paolo and the late Santa Tramontana.  Dear sister of Carmelo and Giuseppe Tramontana.

The family will receive relatives and friends Sunday, December 29, 2019, 4-8 pm at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ.  A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, December 30, 2019, 9:30 am at St. Catharine Church, 905 South Maple Avenue, Glen Rock, NJ.  Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Paterson.
