Karen Ann Peterson

Karen Ann Peterson, age 58, a life-long resident of Fair Lawn, NJ, passed away on Monday, July 6, 2020.  A faithful parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church in Fair Lawn, she was a member of the Rosary Society.  Always actively working for the betterment of her community, Karen was a member of the Accessibility Committee of the Borough of Fair Lawn and the Fair Lawn Sunrise Rotary as well as volunteering with many organizations including the NJ Veterans Home at Paramus, The Opportunity Center and V.F.W. Post 281 Ladies Auxiliary.

Beloved daughter of the late Herbet and Gladys Mary (Grays) Peterson.  Loving sister of Mark Peterson.  Cherished aunt of Christopher Peterson.

The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday, July 9, 2020, 4-8 pm at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 10, 2020, 9:30 am at St. Anne R.C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne Street, Fair Lawn, NJ.  Interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Montclair.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Karen to The Opportunity Center, 13-19 Fair Lawn Avenue, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410 would be appreciated.

Mark, my deepest sympathy to you and your family. She was an exception person and I am privileged to have known her. She was the godmother to Andrew Miksza. He and his dad, Duane, will also miss her.
