Raymond James Salort, III

Raymond James Salort, III, age 32, a lifelong resident of Fair Lawn, NJ passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020.  He was a graduate of Rutgers University with a degree in Biology. After working in the field of environmental science, he decided to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a medical doctor. He completed 3 years of study at the American University of Antigua at the time of his death.

Raymond was an animal lover and admirer of cinema. He enjoyed photography, hiking and spending time with his family who loved him immensely and who will miss him every day. Raymond will always be remembered for how he endlessly uplifted others, his sense of humor and big heart overflowing with love and kindness for his family and friends.

Beloved son of Melissa (DiMartino) and Raymond James Salort, Jr.  Loving brother of Laura Marie Kuskin and husband, Brad and Daniela Corrine Salort.  Cherished grandson of Ramon Jaime and Berta Luz Salort and the late Richard and Gloria DiMartino.  Adored uncle of Mila Rae Kuskin.  He is also survived by his loyal feline companion, Honks. He will be missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends Thursday, November 5, 2020, 4-8 p.m. at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 6, 2020, 10:30 a.m. at St. Anne R.C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne Street, Fair Lawn, NJ.  Entombment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. 

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Raymond to St Anne R.C. Church, 15-05 St Anne Street, Fair Lawn, NJ or the Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc, 2 Shelter Lane, Oakland, NJ 07436 (rbari.org) would be appreciated.
