Philip J. Bartolotto


Philip J. Bartolotto, age 97, of Fair Lawn, NJ passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2020.  Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, he resided in Clifton, NJ for 39 years before moving to Fair Lawn 11 years ago.  Mr. Bartolotto proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II.  Passionate about bowling, Philip was happiest at the lanes, especially Lodi Lanes and Parkway Lanes.  He also enjoyed fishing.

Prior to retiring, he was a letter carrier with the U.S. Postal Service in Paterson for 12 years.  Previously, he was employed with Baxter’s Boxing in Paterson for many years. 

Beloved and devoted husband of Doris (Eglin) Bartolotto.  Loving father of Phil Bartolotto and wife Janice, John Bartolotto and Karen Pace and husband Stuart.  Cherished grandfather of Stuart and Sara Pace and Jimmy, P.J., Phil and Brian Bartolotto.  Adored great-grandfather of Alexandria, Jimmy, Nicholas, Tori and Aubrey.

I bowled with "Phil" for many years during 70s & 80s & he was a very good bowler. We were very friendly & shared many laughs together as well as many bowling awards. He was a good person & I'm sure he's in that bowling center in the sky. He & his family will always be in my prayers.

Phil , Was my first carrier to take me out on a foot route in Post Office , A foot route is delivering mail without a vehicle, Also Phil took me under his wing at the Paterson Bowl-O-Mat and help me to bowl . Rest in Peace my Teacher and Freind
