Carol A. Louis


Carol A. (McCann) Louis, age 83, of Highland Lakes, NJ passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021.  Born and raised in Queens, NY, she resided in Saddle Brook for 40 years before moving to Highland Lakes 15 years ago.  A woman of strong faith, she was a devoted parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima in Highland Lakes and St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church in Saddle Brook where she was a member of the Women’s Bowling League.  Carol enjoyed painting and camping.

Prior to retiring in 1996, she was a wirer with Bendix in Teterboro.

Beloved wife of Joseph Louis.  Loving and devoted mother of Catherine Greer and Mike, Peggy Hecker and husband John and Theresa Reed and husband Joe.  Dear sister of Win Gold and the late JoAnn Wisch and Barbara Secker.  Cherished grandmother of six and great-grandmother of three.

The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday, September 8, 2021, 4-8 PM at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ,  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, September 9, 2021, 11 AM at St. Philip the Apostle R.C. Church, 488 Saddle River Road, Saddle Brook, NJ.  Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Carol to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.

Heaven received an incredible person but the earth is mourning. We are praying for our family and rejoice to know that our Redeemer Lives! We still remember you both bringing Grandpa down to see us! I am so thankful for all the patience Aunt Carol had with me growing up :). She will be missed by all.
