Daniel “Louie” F. Petrecca, 59 of Fair Lawn, NJ passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2009.  Born in Paterson, NJ, he resided in Fair Lawn all his life.  He was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church in Fair Lawn.  Louie was an avid hockey fan who especially loved the New York Rangers. He also enjoyed music, cars, and most importantly he loved his family and life in general.

 

Prior to retiring in 2005, Louie was employed as a recorder for the auto advertisement sales department for community newspapers for many years.     

 

Beloved husband of Deborah Petrecca.  Loving and devoted father of Chelsea and Gillian Petrecca.  Cherished son of Helen (O’Hara) and the late Amerigo Petrecca.  Dear brother of Alfred and James Petrecca and Patricia Woods.

 

A funeral mass is planned for Thursday, July 9, 2009, 10:30 am at St. Anne R.C. Church, 15-05 St. Anne Street, Fair Lawn, NJ.  Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Paterson.  The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday, July 8, 2009 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Vander Plaat Colonial Home, Inc., 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ, 201-797-3500.

He was friends with my brother Ray,Robert and Carl,godfather to my niece Sara. And to my sister Lori and I a 'COOL' guy who would always talk to us and look out for us no matter who was around. It is a shame that the years pass so quickly and you lose touch with people that mean so much to you. I have dug out old pictures, and I am laughing through my tears at all the memories that will keep your family in our prayers.God bless you our dear friend.

The fond memories he leaves behind will always bring back smiles on the faces of the many peoples' lives he has touched.
