Joanne M. Colucci


Joanne M. (Calo) Colucci, age 71, of Glen Rock, NJ passed away at home on Monday, March 29, 2021 in the arms of her loving husband, surrounded by her family.  Born in New York City and raised in Island Park, NY, she resided in Glen Rock for 46 years.  She was a parishioner of St. Catharine R.C. Church in Glen Rock.  An avid traveler, Joanne enjoyed Broadway plays, cooking, time at the Glen Rock Pool but her greatest joy came from spending time with family, especially her grandkids.

Beloved and devoted wife of Vincent Colucci.  Loving mother of Vincent J. Colucci and wife Kristine, Richard Colucci, Stacy Taggart and husband Jason and Denise Furlani and husband Craig.  Cherished grandmother of Angelena, Sophia, Emily and Kimberly Joanne.  Dear sister of Anna Angione and husband Donato.  She is also survived by loving nieces and nephews.

The family will receive relatives and friends Monday, April 5, 2021, 4-8 pm at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, 13-31 Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn, NJ,  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 6, 2021, 9:30 am at St. Catharine R.C. Church, 905 South Maple Avenue, Glen Rock, NJ.  Cremation will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Joanne to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.

RIP Giovanna! I remember you telling me when I was pregnant with my youngest daughter and had an insatiable craving for Tootsie Rolls that the baby would be born with brown birthmarks! And she DOES have a Tootsie Roll colored birthmark! You said it was an old Italian wives tail! Prayers to you and your family.
